I like this one so much. There's everything to love about it. The beautiful furniture, the little china dog on the table, the iron headboard on the left, the flowered wall paper, the lace at the windows, the woven chair back with the knit throw on the seat, the vase, the sun on her hair. I believe that it's German. It all makes me wonder about her. She likes flowers and plants and she's wearing a ring on her left hand. That much about her is evident. Was she happy, was she content? Did she love, did she feel loved? Was she bored and craving excitement in her life or was she a gregarious woman and this photo shows an unusually quiet moment? Was life a joy for her or was it a struggle of ups and downs? These are some of the thoughts that this beautiful photo brings to my mind.

Amazing backlight - love the beautiful pose as she adjusts the flowers. Love also the interior and the view to the other window on the opposite side.
A very special, lovely find, an instant fave.

Really stunning. Talk about perfect light. I wish the building out the window were hugely historic and could suggest a location...oooh we wish.

This is my most favorite old photograph I have seen on Flickr by far and I'm almost positive this photograph is German because of the words outside the window.

Thank you []. That's very sweet of you! You're probably right that the photo is German, as the seller is in Germany.

This image is achingly evocative, somehow.

(Your description tells why very effectively--well done)
